6 reasons why everyone should go camping

We love packing up our cases (and kids) and heading off to explore the world. As much as we love visiting far off, sunny countries, it doesn’t take away from our excitement of booking our yearly camping trips. A weekend away from the TV, gadgets and the craziness of general life. A weekend in the great outdoors, making rope swings and toasting marshmallows. A weekend camping should be on everyone’s bucket list, and here’s out top 6 reasons why:

Camping- Indoor teepee sleepover party (Oxfordshire)

Daisy’s birthday will be spent this year in sunny California, what more could a girl want? Oh, just to celebrate her birthday with her best friends. Seeing as I wouldn’t be able to fly them over to join us in LA, I thought we could celebrate Daisy’s birthday in the February half term. When I asked what she wanted to do for her birthday she replied, ‘Can we go camping?’ Now I love a trip camping but in February, in the UK, not so much!

Camping UK- Hardwick Park, (Witney, Oxfordshire)

When Johnny first mentioned camping it didn’t exactly fill me with excitement. I had never camped before and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on much. He finally managed to talk me into it with the promise that Daisy would have a great time. We borrowed a tent (buying one seemed like I would be committing to a lifetime of camping, and that was a commitment I wasn’t quite ready for) and after four attempts to pack everything into the car, we head off to the New Forest. Fast forward five years and add a campervan into the mix, and I now love planning our yearly camping trips!
